Bigo Live Celebrates Broadcaster Excellence at BIGO Awards Gala 2022



BIGO Technology, one of the world’s fastest-growing technology companies behind popular livestreaming platform Bigo Live, celebrated over 72 exceptional global and regional broadcasters at the recently concluded BIGO Awards Gala 2022.




The third edition of Bigo Live’s annual flagship event was hosted exclusively on the Bigo Live app across 20 time zones and 150 countries across five continents on Bigo Live’s Music Livehouse (Bigo ID: music) on Friday, 14th January 2022.



The theme of this year’s Awards Gala 2022 was “Better Live, Better Future”, which is about empowering people to explore an infinite number of possibilities on its platform. This event also showcased BIGO’s foray into future-facing technologies such as computer vision, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and more.



DINO - Bigo Live’s mascot made an appearance as this year’s host while Bigo Girl, Bigo’s Virtual Live 3D avatar made its debut in a virtual concert with highly talented and renowned Thai singer-songwriter “The Toys” and Putra Raya from Indonesia.



At the awards presentation ceremony, 君君(Jūnjūn), [ID BIGO: Yyysssccc] and 3399俱乐部(3399 Jùlèbù [ID BIGO: 333161016] were presented awards for the "Top Regional Broadcaster" and "Top Regional Family" for Malaysia respectively. Additionally, Japanese broadcaster Amy (BIGO ID: amyfromtokyo) was crowned the “Top Global Broadcaster” while the BigWin family, also from Japan, was awarded the “Top Global Family”.
